Working from anywhere sounds like freedom, and often it is. But anyone who has worked remotely for a while knows the other side: long stretches without colleagues, blurred boundaries between work and rest, and the quiet question of who you are building with. At Happy Work Studio, we see the same pattern inside distributed teams. Flexibility only works when it comes with connection, rhythm and support.

That belief is the reason our founder, Mine Dedekoca, co-founded Türkiye Nomad Fest. The festival returns to Alanya for its second edition on 18–25 October 2026, and there are only 10 days left to register. The invitation is simple: bring the idea, leave with a plan.

What is Türkiye Nomad Fest?

Türkiye Nomad Fest is an eight-day gathering on the Turkish Mediterranean for solopreneurs, builders and location-independent professionals. The first edition took place in Alanya in October 2025. This year the festival is based at the Anjeliq Downtown Hotel on Cleopatra Beach. Step straight into the community.

A week with a rhythm

The festival is designed around a simple daily structure:

  • Mornings for wellbeing: yoga, run club and beach walks, plus sessions on movement and breathwork.
  • Days for learning: main-stage talks, workshops and the AI Bootcamp.
  • Afternoons for Alanya: the castle, Damlataş Cave and the coastline.
  • Evenings together: long tables, a sunset house party, a gala dinner and a beach party.

Here is how the week unfolds:

Who’s on stage

Twenty speakers are confirmed, with more to be announced, and the format is deliberately at eye level: conversations, not speeches. The topics cover the practical questions every remote professional eventually faces:

  • Legal and financial: the Turkish Nomad Visa and tax strategy for digital nomads.
  • Income: treating Upwork as a business rather than a job board, and turning online communities into sustainable revenue.
  • Performance and wellbeing: mental performance for founders, nervous-system resets and staying physically well while living on the move.
  • Life design: the role of vision in remote work, and designing a nomad life that actually works.

Mine Dedekoca joins the line-up with a session on the Future of Work, a topic she has spoken about at nomad and remote-work festivals across Europe.

The AI Bootcamp

At the heart of the week is a hands-on AI Bootcamp with product builder Seth Ward. It runs over four afternoons, Tuesday 20 to Friday 23 October, about 90 minutes a day. The bootcamp is built for people whose main skill is not engineering. You bring a laptop and an idea you care about, and leave having gone from a first useful workflow to a working AI agent. Seats are included in the festival ticket but the room is capped to keep mentorship personal.

Why it matters for the future of work

Events like this are more than travel. They are a live test of what work could look like when location becomes optional: how people stay healthy, keep learning and build real relationships without an office. Many of the lessons translate directly to companies managing remote and hybrid teams. Rhythm matters, connection must be designed, and wellbeing is part of the work rather than an extra.
